At this restaurant, I often let myself be tempted by the fish, seafood dishes or mussels served in different sauces. The formula bring your own wine is a plus.

When I go to Resto-Lounge Le Radoteux, I can’t resist the lamb shank: always a delight in a relaxed lounge atmosphere, right downtown.

Located in the Coeur villageois de Saint-Jean-des-Piles, I treat myself to the shredded duck poutine paired with a good Mac Tavish from Le Trou du Diable Microbrewery.

The ideal place for hiking. I have a weakness for this trail. The level of physical exertion combined with the length are perfect for me. Not to mention the superb views of the surrounding lakes. My favorite: Lac aux Chevaux. You must take the time to stop there for a while and enjoy nature’s perks while seated on the famous red chairs.

In general, I am a fan of restaurants. And Shawinigan has good ones for every budget.
