Promenade du Saint-Maurice

  • The promenade du Saint-Maurice runs along the river of the same name, right in the downtown area near many boutiques and restaurants. Since 1934, it has been visited a favorite spot for locals and visitors for its beauty and its breathtaking view of the Saint-Maurice river. With its charming balustrade, its benches and the mature trees that border it, it is a popular spot for photo enthusiasts, especially at dusk when you can admire magnificent sunsets, with the tower of the City de l’énergie in the background. At each end, the Vétérans and Saint-Maurice parks invite you to take time for a picnic or simply to relax.

  • The cycle path that runs along it continues in the different sectors of the city.

  • Every Sunday of the Labor Day weekend, a large crowd gathers on the Promenade to welcome the athletes of the mythical Classique internationale de canots for the final of its 2nd stage. The live portage on the Promenade is always spectacular.
