Sandrine

Epicurean who has fallen under Shawinigan’s spell, I love to enjoy the natural playground offered by my adoptive city, while feasting on local products. I like going around to experience the local culture and gastronomy.

My Favorites

MA poissonnerie marché public - Sandrine

M.A. Poissonnerie et compagnie

I love this fish shop for the quality, freshness and generosity of its prepared meals (I have a big crush for the seafood pizza and their ready-to-eat poke-bowl) and the kindness of the employees.

Ptit Broadway - Sandrine

P’tit Broadway

It’s the ideal place to have lunch in a cozy and intimate atmosphere. A lunch menu is available at low cost, the team is friendly, and they have microbrewery beers. In the summer, you can even enjoy a sunny terrace.

paddle board rivière saint-maurice - Sandrine

Saint-Maurice River

I love to launch my paddle, my canoe, or any other floating embarkation on the river, right in the downtown area or in Shawinigan-Sud when the sun goes down. Turn around at la Cité de l’énergie, but be careful, the current can be strong.

Art et culture bonsai - Éveline

Art et culture Bonzai

If you’d like to travel outside of Quebec without leaving Shawinigan, visit this shop specialized in bonsais and Japanese culture. Really much recommended if you’re looking for a Japanese decoration.

Tous les jours dimanche

You can’t walk on the 5e rue de la Pointe without falling for their chocolate cookies (BE CAREFUL: they are decadent!) combined with a refreshing raspberry lemonade. To complete, add a chicken sandwich. I am salivating just thinking about it.
